SPECIAL EVENTS AND INITIATIVES
Give It Back- First Youth Leadership Program
As all students were confined to studying from home, our club took up the challenge of organizing the club's very first Youth Leadership Program. TM Devika Lakshmeesha coordinated the YLP program for students of her alma mater, SVH School, Innanje.
The sessions conducted were bilingual(English and Kannada) and multiple members of the club mentored the students to help them execute various roles & deliver speeches over 2 months. Students who were hesitant to speak up in the first meeting participated with great enthusiasm in latter meetings, including speech contests.
The students and headmaster of the school appreciated the efforts put in by TM Devika in helping them become more confident speakers.
Sister Club Collaboration
Infosys Toastmasters Mangalore SEZ collaborated with 2 other Corporate Clubs- IBC Titans Bangalore Toastmaster Club & TCS Maithree Kochi Toastmaster Club under the District 121's Active Sister Citation initiative making it the only Corporate Club Active Sister trio in the district.
Three joint meetings were held between the months of Sep 2020- Mar 2021 by the three clubs. Over the course of a year members from all three clubs have collaborated and regularly participated in meetings across each other's clubs.
Good practices learnt from each other's club were implemented in a bid to improve and evolve.
Installation ceremonies
The beginning of every new term, with a brand new team of the enthusiastic office bearers, demands a big celebration. Every term begins with an installation ceremony organised by members with distinguished guests from the district.
The club witnessed its installation ceremony for the term June-December 2018, where we all went ‘back to school’ in our school uniforms to thank the outgoing team and welcome the incoming office bearers team. The emcee for the event was TM Deepika Prakash.
“Lights – Camera – Action” was theme of the installation ceremony which introduced the new office bearers for the term Jan-June 2019. The Office bearers were installed by double DTM Malini Hebbar at Hakuna Matata club, Bejai. TM Ekta was the Emcee for the ceremony.
The club witnessed its installation ceremony for the term January - July 2020, with the theme 'Take A Chance'. The office bearers were installed by DTM Divyashree Gatti at Hakuna Matata Club, Bejai. TM Roy and TM Rajath were the emcees for the evening.
The club witnessed it's first online installation ceremony themed -'Down the memory lane' for the term July - December 2020.The officers were installed by Area Director, TM Sapna Shenoy.TM Devika Lakshmeesha was the emcee.
"Reminisce" was the theme of the online installation ceremony for the term January - June 2021.The officers were installed by Area Director, TM Sapna Shenoy.TM Anamika was the emcee.
Champion Series
Champion series was introduced for the first time in our club dividing club members into 3 teams "Voluble Champions", "Invincible Mavericks" and "Procrastinators" lead by Toastmasters Pujith, Ekta and Deepika respectively. Every team came up with unique themes. "Infinity Anamnesis", reminding us of our last one-year journey in a Toastmasters, "Blend in or Stand out", projecting the concept of either going with the flow or making a difference and "Dear sleep", explaining the need for sleep.
Members were awarded for their performance based on the roles taken up by them. Champion series gave a chance to each and every member of our club to take-up different roles and showcase their inner talents.
MInfy Celebrations and Farewells

Celebration and Farewells are a part of MInfy Toastmasters. At Infosys Toastmasters we believe in celebrating the smallest occasion. Our immediate past president's birthday called for a surprise party followed by a toothsome dinner at Thyme restaurant. TM Akhil Kumar, TM Pujith, TM Deeksha and TM Surabhi Sharma also celebrated their birthdays this year.
Goodbyes are always difficult, but we believe that every bitter goodbye deserves a sweeter celebration. Recently, the club gathered at Spindrift to bid farewell to our beloved past Associate VP Membership TM Kamal Dass. We also bid farewell to TM Tarun, TM Puneet, TM Surabhi, TM Kamal, TM Gokul and TM Prashant.
“Koffee with toastmasters” is conducted at least once a term to meet friends from Toastmasters club outside regular meeting. We strongly believe that in order to party hard, you need to work harder.
MInfy Initiatives
“Taking initiative does not mean being pushy, obnoxious or aggressive, but recognizing your responsibility to make things happen.” – A wise man
We have come up with an initiative “Toastmaster of the Month” and “Mentor of the Month” to recognize the members of our club based on their active participation/contribution in and out of the club. This initiative was taken in order to spice up things and to provide a driving force to push our club members to take action to pursue their goals.

300th Meeting

Completing 300 meetings definitely calls for a celebration; a celebration of achievements - with some fun and competition. We conducted 4 contests, which received participation from the Toastmasters fraternity across Mangalore and from with Infosys Mangalore DC :

10th Year Celebrations
"Success is as sweet as honey".
Infosys Toastmasters Mangalore SEZ turned 10 years old in October 2019 and the members decided to commemorate this success by conducting 10 varied events across 10 months.
